Who of us have not had someone get hurt at a church basketball game. I think everyone that has ever played has been injured at one time or another. Unfortunately for Cody it seems to happen more often than not. Especially here in Payson. When we first moved to Payson he started playing up at the Stake center and came home with a black eye and a gouge in his back. Aren't we supposed to play nice? He's had multiple sprained ankles and who knows how many scrapes and bruises. Well this weeks injury takes the cake! Wednesday night he went up to the stake center for ball and we all decided to go along. We hadn't seen Dad all day because he worked until 9 p.m. so it was a good chance to at least be near him. Most of the games went well until near the end. There was a guy there, not from our stake, who was playing pretty physically and getting underneath Cody on rebounds and wrapping him up trying to steal the ball. From the looks of him he totally thought he should have been the #1 pick for the NBA draft if only he were a foot and a half taller. Anyway, Cody went up for a rebound and this guy pushes him in the back on the way down. As Cody lands he lands like a ton of bricks. He collapsed to the floor and is apparently in agony. Cody slid himself off the court and then left the gym barely walking. Apparently he threw out his back. They think it is probably a sprained ligament, but that ligament is so screwed up that they can't put his back back in. Now for those of you that know Cody, you know what this is going to do to him right. His work is all lifting and physical labor. So for at least the next week and a half he is totally out of commission. The worst part is that his real basketball season starts in a week. It will be sad to miss those games. I think I will just be glad when Cody is back to being Cody. It's not fun to see him in pain constantly and he will probably be totally sick of me in a week and a half. Spending 24/7 with me might not be his idea of a good time. But maybe it will be good. I can talk all I want and he can't even walk away. That 's my silver lining to all this. Good quality time with my hubby. Feel better soon Cody.
Give Thanks!

I'm soooo sorry. This is not what you guys need right now. Maybe you should find out who that guy was and tell him he owes Cody all the wages he will be missing over the next few weeks. That totally bugs.
